Buyer
RiverSide Electronics is actively seeking a motivated individual to work in Purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain ethical conduct and confidentiality
- Overall management of assigned commodities
- Coordinate all purchasing activity including review of material requirements, expedites and de-expedites, non-conforming materials, past due purchase orders and invoice discrepancies
- Perform supplier audits as required
- Responsible for supplier sourcing, quality and delivery performance
- Initiate cost reductions through effective negotiations
- Provide support for supply chain compliance initiatives (Rohs, Reach, Conflict Minerals etc)
Qualifications:
- 4 Year Degree preferred
- Experience with purchasing custom components is helpful.
- Manufacturing and MRP experience desirable
- Familiar with EDI procurement
- Ability to interact with Suppliers, Management and Customers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively on process improvement teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
